| Answer Products was started 25 years ago in a garage in Southern California. The company initially built motorcycle exhaust systems, but with the emergence of mountain biking, Answer soon found itself using its motorcycle roots to make high-performance forks, shoes, gloves and components for bicycles. Answer introduced the Taperlite handlebar in 1989, followed by the Hyperlite in 1990 and ProTaper in 1996. Patented technologies developed with these bars still allow Answer to produce ultra-lightweight, high-strength products.The first fork that Answer produced was the Accutrax. Along with the A-Tac stem, it was the highly sought-after combination in the emerging world of mountain biking.
